As a CNC Machinist at Carlson, you’ll transform raw metal into precision components that support industries ranging from aerospace and defense to medical, energy, and beyond. Working with advanced equipment including mills, lathes, EDMs, gundrills, deep hole drills, and 5-axis machining centers, you’ll solve complex challenges, refine your craft, and manufacture parts measured in thousandths of an inch. At Carlson, machining is more than operating equipment, it’s mastering a trade and building products that keep America moving forward.
At Carlson, you’ll assemble, fit, troubleshoot, repair, and refine precision plastic injection molds that produce millions of products used every day. Combining machining, assembly, and hands-on problem solving, you’ll work on challenging, high-precision tooling for industries ranging from medical and packaging to automotive and battery. Every mold presents a new challenge. Whether you’re building a new tool, improving an existing design, or diagnosing a complex issue, you’ll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, continuous learning, and pride in a job well done.
